2025 FULTON COUNTY SUMMER LEARNING

Please read ALL INFORMATION BELOW! 

 

REQUIRED to attend Summer Learning: 

  • 9th-12th grade student who failed an EOC tested course (Semester 2 or course B of 11th Grade American Literature/Composition, Algebra: Concepts & Connections, Biology, and/or United States History)

Recommended to attend Summer Learning: 

  • 9th-12th grade student who needs to obtain credit for a previously failed course  
  • 9th-12th grade student who wants to take a course to accelerate during summer school (Fulton Virtual only, tuition required)

 

Please note that students who fail a semester of an EOC course, but opt against summer school participation, must follow the Summer School “Opt-Out” instructions online. This is simply your way of declaring your desire to opt out of summer school. If students select this option, students will need to take the course prior to graduation, as all EOC courses are required for graduation.

 Face-to-Face Summer Learning at Centennial HS:

The following courses will be offered in the face-to-face summer session. In-person classes will be from June 2 – 30, 2025.  Students are required to attend for the entire term (20 instructional days). The hours for students to attend are 8:00 am – 12:20 pm.

9th Grade Literature & Composition  Biology   Algebra: Concepts & Connections 
10th Grade Literature & Composition  Environmental Science  Geometry: Concepts & Connections 
11th Grade American Literature & Composition  US History  Advanced Algebra: Concepts & Connections 

 

  • Registration: _____    (If your student will require special education transportation per their IEP, registration closes on ___). 
  • Students will register by using VECTOR in Infinite Campus – choose drop down CENTENNIAL summer learning as location. Summer Learning Registration Directions
  • Students may take re-take TWO semester-long courses in the face-to-face setting at no cost.  Student must have a failing grade for the course to register for face-to-face setting.
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost for all students attending summer learning.
  • Transportation will be provided from limited stops. The face-to-face summer learning location for your student is Roswell High School. 
    • Fulton County Schools provides bus transportation for all students in the summer learning program. To provide this service, revised routes will pick up and drop off students based on “community” stops, high density stops, and school-to-school stops. This includes buses that will take students from their original home school to the summer school site. Please check the Transportation website after May 17th for bus stop and time information for your student. We will continue to use the “Here Comes the Bus” app during summer learning to ensure that parents have the most up-to-date bus information. Students attending Summer Learning Adaptive program can receive transportation based on their IEP. Please register with the student’s home school no later than April 26th to ensure the student’s route is in place for the first day of summer school.

  • Fulton County Schools will offer three options for students who need to obtain credit for a previously failed course. The options will be Face-to-Face Summer Learning, Fulton Virtual, and the Credit Recovery Program. Fulton Virtual Summer School

 Fulton Virtual (FV) Summer Learning:

Offers select courses outlined at High School Summer Learning (fultonschools.org)

Students may retake up to two semester-long course credits during Fulton Virtual summer learning at no cost.  Each semester course requires 3.5 hour minimum work per day for 5-week course.

  • Courses taken for acceleration will require tuition ($225 per 0.5 credit course; $180 per 0.5 credit for students free/reduced lunch eligible).

Step 1: Download and complete the 2024-2025 Online course contract with your parent (2 sheets)

 

Step 2: Register for your course(s) on the online provider’s website

  • Choose the semesters for your online courses – Fall 2025 or Spring 2026
  • A courses = Semester 1 (Fall),  B courses = Semester 2 (Spring)
  • NOTE: if you are taking a yearlong class, register for both A (fall) and B (spring) semesters during the registration period.
